Choker

Choker is an intriguing book that is quick and fast moving. It deals with high school problems and also adds a kick of mystery giving it a wide variety of possible reads. Cara (the main character) is dealing with a tough time in school until Zoe comes back into her life. She also has her eyes on Ethan Gray, the handsome popular guy who is dating the popular girl Alexis, who happens to be Caras bully. As the story unfolds and the mysteries become more in depth, the book gets harder and harder to put down until you solve the mystery and learn the truth. Overall I thought that Choker was an enjoyable easy to read book. There was never a time when i didn’t want to read it at all and although it was a little slow moving at some points the end was a real page turner. The author changes the mood of the book a lot which is another thing that kept me interested. One minute there would be a murder ad the next there would be Cara and Ethan flirting. I would give this book a final rating of 3 out of 5 because of the slow pace and it’s an average book. I would recommend this book to high school girls who want something they aren’t going to see everyday. Although, just a word of warning, you shouldn’t expect a happy ending where everything works out for the better.
