Pure Sunshine is based on the story of three friends Brendon, Will and Kevin. Told in Brendon’s sarcastic perspective, the three of them spend their weekend together on an acid trip. Throughout their trip you find the three friends slowly drifting apart from each other while walking the city streets at night. This leads to a climactic ending where Brendon discovers who his true friends really are. This story was very well written in a teenager’s perspective so you almost feel that you’re in Brendon’s head. Brian James was also very descriptive in describing the acid trip that the three friends have. Overall, it was a very well written story and quite interesting.
