Song of the Sparrow
By: Lisa Ann Sandell

Song of the Sparrow is a story that takes place in the time period of King Arthur and the Round Table. Elaine is fifteen years old and is the only girl that lives in the army encampment. She resides there with her father and two brothers. Elaine grew up loving all the men in the camp as her brothers, she is very fond of them and when the wounded come back from war, she aids them and takes care of their wounds with special herbs and poultices. Elaine has loved Lancelot since she was a little girl, but that all changes when their friendship encounters a couple of problems. Tristan is one of Arthur’s best friends aside from Lancelot and has always been there for Elaine. Gwennyviere comes to the camp and Elaine thinks she will finally have another girl to do things with instead of things to do with the men all the time. This story takes a couple interesting turns that will keep you wanting to read the book till you finish it. I would recommend this book for anyone to read.
