This book was originally recommended to me by a close friend who described that this book was sad but funny. As I began reading, I realized that what she said was true. The first person you are introduced to is Hazel Grace, the main character. She is so easy to fall in love with because of her humor and sarcastic tone. Come to find out, Hazel lives with a somewhat severe form of cancer and clinical depression. Her overly caring mother sends her off every week to a support group where she meets her soon to be boyfriend, Augustus. Her stunningly attractive boyfriend is a cancer survivor that had his leg amputated. Throughout their relationship they talk about Hazel's favorite book that has no end and she will stop at nothing to find out the ending. As their relationship continues, they both face many obstacles, emotional and physical. The ending contains such a heart wrenching twist that you will make you wish there was a sequel.
