This book is a fantastic book. it follows a young man named Will who is training to become a Ranger. He is in his last months before he gets his silver oak leaf, the symbol of a Ranger. In this book, Erak, the oberjarl of the Skanavia goes on a raid to a desert landscape. He is captured there, the rest of his crew goes to Aulera and asks them for help. The king relectantly sends his daughter who is the princess to pay the ransom. The book is full of action, fast pace and much more. It's a great read and I highly recomend other to read this series starting from book one.
